Tsiknopempti (Smokey Thursday) festival is held on the Thursday of second week of Mardi Gras and represents a highlight in a weeklong celebration of meat consumption. The festivities on Tsiknopempti revolve around parties where massive amounts of meat are grilled or roasted, with live music and lots of dancing. If you’re a meat lover, this is definitely for you!
